Every steel bridge project is fabricated to the codes named in its specification. World Steel works with the main design, welding, fabrication, material and inspection standards of four regions. The editions, supplements and owner requirements that apply are confirmed during the technical review of each project.

Formal certifications held by World Steel (for example a factory production control certificate under EN 1090-1 or company certification under CSA W47.1) are listed on the Certifications page only after they have been verified. Working to a standard does not by itself mean that World Steel holds a certificate for it.
Final member sizes, details and specifications are determined by the engineer of record for each project. This page describes general practice and does not replace project-specific engineering.
